Los Angeles experienced citywide celebrations after the Los Angeles Dodgers won a nail-biting seven-match World Series championship. Fans across the globe joined local residents in jubilation, marking the initial time in 25 years that a team has achieved back-to-back championships.
Celebration Parade Attracts Massive Crowds
Los Angeles area celebrations included a procession through the city center on the morning of the parade, a ticketed rally at the team's home stadium, and impromptu gatherings across the city.
Social media videos depict thousands of Angelenos packing city center avenues, many displaying handmade banners and Dodger flags. The squad was seen traveling proudly on a double-decker bus through the masses, raising the Commissioner’s trophy proudly.
“I’m already thinking about the next championship we’re going to achieve this,” the star player stated through an translator.
The procession path ended at Dodger Stadium, where the team walked out to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” with the renowned DJ spinning music and Ice Cube cruising a Pacific blue classic car around the field.

Festivities began prior to the parade, with Dodgers fans lighting flares in the streets of the city center on the previous evening.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto, awarded the World Series’ Most Valuable Player, spoke plainly about the win.
“Losing is not an option,” Yamamoto said. “I love the Dodgers. This city means everything to me.”
Mixed Reactions and City Unity
However, Mark Walter was met with a less warm reception at the rally. Video footage from the event seem to depict Walter taking the stage to a mix of applause and boos, with negative shouts interrupting his speech.
The championship acted as a positive moment in what has been a trying year for the city. An approximate 225,000 people showed up to the championship parade last year, and according to team member one athlete, supporters this year demonstrated equal or greater support.
“I feel like it’s almost double from last year,” he said. “These fans are crazy. It’s truly amazing to be a part of this.”
